AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY

We made it through another day. The Lord told us to take this year one day at a time. Many times today it felt that we were taking it one hour at a time. It was a hard day. Seeing a loved one in pain and not being able to do anything about it is extremely tough.

It has been a long 12 days. I have set up camp in Mom’s room and only leave some days for a couple of hours in the afternoon for a short nap. In a sense, I feel like I have set up camp in the presence of my enemy. Cancer is our enemy. The battle is raging. But instead of engaging in this battle, I wait on the Lord to fight the battle for us. Sometimes that is tough because I am the type of person who has a hard time sitting back and doing nothing. But, I know that right now, there is not one thing that I can do. Only pray. Only worship. Only believe. It’s God and God alone that can fight this battle for us. And when the battle is over, He will receive all of the glory!

Keep praying, keep trusting. We wait in expectancy for the miracle.
