About Me

Hello all! Welcome to In Pleasant Places! This is a place for me to blog, share life moments, and any helpful hints that I have come across in my life's journey. First and foremost, I am a lover and worshipper of Jesus. From the time I was 12 years of age, I was a pastor's kid; and although I tried to run, I have spent over half of my life in ministry as well. I am married to my best friend, and I am a mom to two amazing children. I have experienced homeschooling, adoption, special needs, interesting health journeys...you name it! I love to journal, worship, crochet, drink chai lattes, and share my heart. Glad you dropped in for a visit!

My Journey

Writing is my happy place. My journey in writing began when I was just 8 years old. At that time, I was given a diary for a Christmas gift from a friend in Grade 3. That opened up something that had been stored within me. Journalling throughout the years has helped anchor me in the storms of this life. And it always pointed me back to my Source and the Mender of broken hearts...my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Jesus, family, ministry, homeschooling, adoption, special needs, health, beauty...I have had experience or interest in all of these at some point in my life! I am happy to share all of the tips, insights, encouragement...and mistakes!...from my life's experiences with you all!

Next to Jesus, my husband and children are my dearest treasures in life. I wouldn't be where or who I am today without their love, encouragement, and support.
